Blanket Drive 2018

January 6, 2018

Oh Pupsters it’s soo cold outside with record lows and snow this winter and there are so many pups and kitties that are cold! Did you know there are several kill shelters in South Carolina that have outdoor pens or pens that are very exposed to the outside elements? When puppers get sick they are most at risk for euthanization and we want to save as many lives as pawsible and help them be healthy to find a furever home! So we are having our 2018 Blanket Drive to collect all your unwanted linens, blankets, and more!

Clean out your linen closets and give us your old towels, linens, rags, sheets, pillow cases, and blankets since you got nice new shiny ones this howliday! We are also collecting outdoor tarps for kennel panels to be covered to protect against wind; heating pads, storage totes, insulation, & duck tape fur feral cat shelters; dog and cat beds; dog sweaters, jackets and anything shelters can use! Look below fur a list of items, my amazon wishlist, and drop off locations fur the lowcounty Charleston SC area. You can send gift cards or paypal, checks, etc and we can purchase fur you too! Of course we needs volunteers to help make this the biggest Blanket Drive we’ve done so bark to me today!

Love Knows No Bounds

September 1, 2015

Mommers here:

hand-hold-loveMilk was shaking horribly this morning in the car on the way to the vet for his surgery of what is believed to be a mast cell tumor (MCT). I’m sure my nerves weren’t helping, but I was trying to pet him and talk positive and do our normal singing. Just wasn’t working. He knew something was up. (And as most of you have figured out, Milk is grumpy if woken early and doesn’t get his kibble!) A friend reminded me to hold his paw…and this goofy headed blockhead just lit up with his smile we all know, and I knew it would all be okay. We jammed with the windows open through the rest of traffic to get to the office. He was being playful at the vet, and jumped in my lap and about had my entire head in his mouth trying to give me MilkSmoochies! Of course, I’m a bit leaky eyed leaving him there.

I chose today’s date for his surgery, though, because it’s the first of the month. The first will bring good things. We have chosen to stay pawsitive through this journey and are trusting things work out for the best. I am so thankful to know he has a vet team that will take tremendous care of him – which is why he is having surgery in the first place. I fought everything in me to do the fundraiser – I didn’t want to impede on our journey to becoming a non-profit. But without all of your help, this surgery wasn’t going to happen, and thankfully we are almost there to having it fully covered.

So thank you. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for contributing. Thank you for the prayers and shares. Thank you for loving my LittleMan.

…It’s all in the touch of a paw…

~Mommers

*If’d you’d like to contribute, please click his photo for his YouCaring fundraiser and surgery updates. We will be posting on his Facebook page as things progress.
