Go Pet Bento Bowl Review & Giveaway!

January 28, 2016

Milk Go Pet Bento BowlHiya Pupsters! As you know, I am always wagging around town with Mommers, making appearances at local events, or just barking up a good time, so when Go Pet from Healthy Human Life approached me about a product review for one of their stackable Go Pet Bento Bowls, I was all paws fur the challenge. And, because we wanted to make sure you could test it our yourself, we have one to giveaway too! Pawfect timing fur the New Year! Make sure you scroll all the way down so you can enter! Here’s the sniffdown with the latest MilkReview:

Here’s the basics:

The Packaging: The Go Pet Bento Bowl comes packaged in an eco-friendly, recyclable box. The thin cardboard box is just perfectly large enuff to hold the Bento bowl. No waste or harm to the planet with large plastic packaging.

Milk Go Pet Bento BowlThe Product: The Go Pet Bento Bowl is a stackable bowl system designed to carry the essentials for your furry furiend! It comes in sizes of 2, 3, and 4 levels, and can be mixed and matched with additional bowls for increased size or color variation. The top air-tight water compartment with air-relase button holds up to 20oz of water cold for 4 hours, and up to 16oz of kibble in the other compartments.

The Materials: The Bento bowl is made with hooman grade 18/10 steel. This means I can’t consume any icky materials or chemicals that may be harmful to me. I may be a furbaby and a bit biased, but I think fur lives matter just as much – ok you got me – fur lives matter more than hoomans so we deserve the bestest too! The outside and handle are durable plastic, and the color options are currently bright green, royal blue, or fuchsia pink!

The Company: Healthy Human Life was founded here in my hometown county by Natalie Shultz. Their focus is on healthy items for hoomans like glass and other materials that would aid healthy living – no plastics that can break down in your water or kibble!

Here’s my paw ratings (1-4):

Milk Go Pet Bento BowlThe Size Factor: 4 Paws – I give the size 4 paws because I can adjust the levels depending on the trip I’m taking. If it’s just a short trip, I might just need the water bowl. Wait – am I pawing or is my secretary – cause I ALWAYS need treats!! That means that I, Milk, need at least two bowls 🙂 Trips to my vet have at least three levels, cause I carry my medicines so they can keep tabs on my health. My pawference is all four levels though, cause when I drink water or eat kibble, it’s right there at the pawfect height for me – I don’t have to lean over to the ground (hmmm…a MilkBlog idea…digestion issues and raised bowls :))

Fashion Factor: 4 Paws (1 paw boring, 4 paws dapper) – What better way to have my essentials carried around with me! Instead of having them stuffed in Mommers bag, a grocery bag, or just tossed in the car, my goodies are toted in a bright colored and sleek container. And I just wuv that I can interchange the colors based on my mood or outfit!

Durability Factor: 4 Paws (1 paw floppy, 4 paws tuff) – I give the durability of the Bento Bowl 4 paws for durability, BUT within normal use like most pawducts. If you leave it unattended, some eager chewers (not mentioning any names….like my brofur Buddy!) would be able to chew the attachment rings. And if you play fetch with it – okay don’t do this! – the handles might pop off. So, if your hooman uses it properly then it should be just fine to handle lots and lots of car rides and park trips!

Here’s my final bark:

Milk Go Pet Bento BowlThe Pro’s – Check out my paw ratings –  I think you’ll agree with my seal of MilkApproved! And the special release button on the water lid makes this product truly water tight to make sure there’s no spilled water. Another pro: if you like this healthy item for your pets, Healthy Human offers hooman products too 🙂

The Con’s – Depending on your needs and breed size, you might be wishing the bowls are a bit bigger. For my current needs, and most pet needs, the size is just pawfect. But for alot of overnight trips, I would need to carry a few levels, or have a bigger bowl size. You see, my meal size is a big one and it wouldn’t last me too long bol. But, never fear, cause I’m purdy sure Healthy Human is listening 🙂

Where to purchase: You can purchase directly from Healthy Human, or you can wag over to Amazon too.

Note: Go Pet Bento Bowls were provided to us by Healthy Human Life in exchange for an honest review and product giveaway.

Pittie Puffs: Product Review

March 22, 2015

Hiya Pupster Posse! I received a Pittie Puff for a product review, so here’s the scoop:Pittie Puffs Package

Here’s the scoop:

The Product: Pittie Puffs are hand-made, hand-woven washable neck warmers to keep pups necks warm in cooler weather, or to help pups with anxiety. Pittie Puffs tells us “It’s a hug around the neck!”

The Materials: Designed for comfort, flexibility, and versatility, Pittie Puffs are made from soft nylon yarn and thread that are designed to hold shape.

The Company: Pittie Puffs is run by pittie pup CEO Junior and his momma designer/knitter Kim Connelly. It’s a small woman-owned business based in Pennsylvania, who likes to give back by helping out pups in need.

MilkRatings:

Comfort Factor: 5 Stars ( 1 star = get this off of me! 5 stars = I don’t want you to take it off – I think I’llMy Name Is Milk - Pittie Puff
take a dognap!) – Mommers expected me to scratch and itch with the Puff on my neck, but it’s form fit was loose enough for me to breathe and move quite comfortably, while snug enough so it didn’t feel like a cat or bug was dangly from my neck (yes, my kitty Zaida does this to me!)

Wearability Factor: 5 Stars (1 star = awkward/bad fit, 5 stars =  great/proper fit) – We were surprised that the puff did not come with a hole for a leash, but after trying it on, we realized there wasn’t a need for a hole! My collar fits above or just inside, so I can still practice my leash manners while wearing my Pittie Puff! After wearing for extended periods, it may need to to be washed to return to like-new shaping.

Fashion Factor: 5 Stars – Pittie Puffs come in a variety of colors, or you can choose custom colors to match your favorite outfit or personality! It’s long enough to scrunch just a little bit and cover the entire neck from just under the ears to the top of the shoulders. I am able to wear the Pittie Puff with my vest or a sweater.

Milk Pittie PuffDurability Factor: 4 Stars (1 star = destroyed instantly, 5 stars= indestructible) – I waited a few weeks to publish my review because I wanted to see how my PittiePuff would hold up. I’m a pretty active pup, so I was able to wear my pup in all sorts of situations. After playing, sleeping, eating, and working in my puff, it’s still in great shape and in one piece! The knitted materials are still holding together strong, even after going through the washing machine monster – no strings or yard coming out (Mommers washed it on gentle medium and laid it flat to air dry).

Here’s the final say:

The Pro’s – Check out my star ratings! There’s no doubt I wuv my Pittie Puff!

The Con’s – Because this product is hand-woven with soft yarn, it’s not the best to wear for extremely rough play, or play where it might get snagged! I’m allowed to play in the yard with my puff, but not allowed to play with big sticks or crawl into the bushes (ok ok, I like to drag mini-trees across the yard!)

Sizing Recommendations: We gave Pittie Puffs my neck size, and they made a custom puff based on that. My head is pretty big, but not huge. The first time getting it on we had to pull just a bit, as it wasn’t broken in yet. Because the puff is hand-made, we recommend a puff that is a bit bigger than neck size if your head is significantly larger than your neck. Of course, we think Pittie Puffs will be glad to assist in sizing questions.

Where to purchase: You can find out more about Pittie Puffs by visiting their website. Head over to etsy, or Facebook to purchase one!

Note: A PittiePuff was provided to us in exchange for a honest review.

Bare Bites: Product Review

November 13, 2014

bare-bitesHello Pupster Posse! I received a sample of Bare Bites from Happy Tail Pet Supply for a product review, so here’s the scoop:

Here’s the basics:

FullSizeRenderThe Packaging: The treats come in a partially clear package so you see the product you are buying. An easy to seal, resealable zip top help make sure they don’t go stale! The seal is strong enough to keep the treats safe, but easy enough to be opened and closed by arthritic hands.  Very clear information is on the package, with everything you need to know in making a purchasing decision. Bare Bites comes in 2oz and 6oz sizes, great for on-the-go or keeping the hooman pantry stocked!

The Product: Bare Bites is an all natural beef liver treat made in Maryland for both pups and kitties! There are NO preservatives, fillers, or grains – all very important in the Mutt Zoo household! The treats come in large pieces resembling jerky, but are scored to easily break down into small pieces for cats or training treats.

The Ingredients: Bare Bites is 100% pure beef liver. Yup! I said it – just one ingredient! All natural!

The Company: Bare Bites is “woman-owned, dog-driven” company based in Frederick, Maryland, creating all natural treats for dogs and cats, that are even hooman approved!  The Bare Bites Philosophy: Live Nice. Plain and simple. Put good things out into the world and receive good things in return.

Here’s my ratings:

Bare Bites Dog TreatsThe Smell Factor: 5 Stars – I could smell the liver treats before we even opened the package they were delivered in! Of course, I couldn’t wait to get my paws inside and helped Mommers open the package.

Chew Factor: 3 Stars (a little chewy, but still krispy) (1 star krispy, 5 stars chewy) – The treats are easy to break into small pieces, but still have enough chew to make them last just a little longer.

Taste Factor: 5 Stars – I wuved the treats and even had enough to share with the kitties in my house. Even though they are resealable, I bet they’ll be gone before you see our tails stop wagging!

Here’s the final say:

The Pro’s – Check out my star ratings! These treats are Milk approved!

The Con’s – The strong smell might be mouth watering for pups and cats, but may be a bit strong for a hooman to carry in their pocket everywhere. We suggest a treat sack or the 2oz size for on the go. Also, the availability is still somewhat limited across the states for those that prefer to shop in stores, but you can always order online!

Bare Bites From happy tail Pet SupplyWhere to purchase: Of course we recommend purchasing from Happy Tail Pet Supply, where you can receive an awesome discount and 100% of proceeds from all purchases go to Pit Bull Rescue, but Bare Bites can also be found at several retailers across the country.

Note: Bare Bites was provided to us by Happy Tail Pet Supply in exchange for a honest review.
