Charleston County Park Pet Fest 2015

Oh boy! Oh boy! I had an amazing time during Pet Fest today at the Palmetto Islands County Park! There were lots of activities and a never ending supply of FREE treats! Yuppers! You heard me! Treats, treats, everywhere!

The event was today and tomorrow from 10am-4pm and sponsored by the Charleston Animal Society (the shelter that rescued me!), Ikon Law who offers pet trusts in case a pet outlives it’s hooman, Crews Subaru (what a fun name!), and Southern Eagle Distributors. There are demonstrations, water to splash in, vendors, treats, pup activities, and more! Pawfect for pups and hoomans, even the little tykes!

I even entered one of the pet contests – the one for cutest dog of course! I didn’t win, but I sure did rock that stage! The three winners were all small breed dogs – what’s up with that?!? I was for sure there would be a big dog represented! But that’s okay 🙂 The big dogs all represented their breed well and we had lots of fun. There were some cool great danes that competed with me. We even had lots of kiddo fans under the stage reaching out to touch us! And we all know that I wuv kiddos!!!

Swift Paws Lure Chasing – let your dog race for a $10 donation
Veterinarians, trainers, groomers, and pet suppliers
Dog washing station – Get your pup clean for a $5 donation
Rescue groups and centers with adoptable animals
Children’s activities and jump castles
Food, beverages, and beer for sale

Event & Activities Schedule

K9s in Flight Frisbee Dogs & Dock Diving (11, 1 & 3 p.m. daily). Your dog can dive for a $10 donation!
Pet Contests: Best Trick, Owner Pet Look-Alike, Face Only a Mother Could Love, Musical Sit, Best Dog Costume (times will be posted on site)
Charleston Kennel Club’s “Meet the Breed” Family Dog Show (Sunday, 12 p.m.)
Live music by JamiSun on Sunday, 2-4 p.m.
STARR (Search, Tactics, And Rescue/Recovery) Team Demonstrations

Banfield: bags with items such as tennis balls, poop bags, food scoops, or stickers
Veterinary Specialty Care: carry bags, coozies, dog bowls, and drawing for gift baskets
Paces Watch: poop bags and treats for dogs and cats
Going to the Dogs: treats and drawing for giveaway
My Three Dogs: treats, coupons, and drawing for giveaway
Advanced Animal Care: toothbrush, treat and food samples, coupons, pencils
Moonshadow Kennel: treats, reflective dog tags, frisbees, drawing for giveaway
Ikon Law: frisbees, treats, pocket calendars and chapstick for hoomans

Mardi Gras Pawrade

Hiya Pupsters! I’m super excited to announce that I will be participating in the Mardi Gras Pawrade, benefiting Waters Edge Animal

Rescue (WEAR). All pups are invited to attend, with the $15 participation fee going to help pups in need! (Event is free to attend if you don’t want to participate!) Of course, Mardi Gras apparel is encouraged for both pups and hoomans, although I think it should be mandatory for everypawdy!

Here’s the cool part – as the first fundraising project of 2015 for my new organization, I am trying to raise enough money to be sponsor! My goal is $250 to reach the Gold Sponsor Level – this will also let me set up a table where I will be selling PetBox‘s to benefit the rescue as well! Click here to reserve your PetBox in advance. Milk’s 1st Gotcha Day!

I am celebrating my first Gotcha Day on January 22, 2015. It will be one year since I was adopted from the Charleston Animal Society! I am so glad I found my furever home!

I have a big announcement I will be making, and so I am asking everypawdy to share my facebook page so I can have more furiends to share the news. I am moving forward in a direction that will be able to help more pups, and I want all my fellow Pupsters to be involved!
